About This Dog for Adoption

Milly's ideal home

Milly is looking for a home in a quieter location with adopters who can give her plenty of time to settle into her new home. Milly is a sensitive girl, and it has taken her a while to become comfortable in her foster home and begin coming out of her shell, so her new adopters will need to understand that it is likely to take a few weeks for her to relax in her new environment, and patience is key with her. Due to her anxious nature, any children in the home will need to be at least 16 years old, and understand to use a hands off approach with Milly, and that Milly will approach them when she in comfortable. Milly has met plenty of dogs when out and about with her foster carers, and can be tense around them but appropriate and polite. We believe the tenseness is largely due to the dog owners being nearby as she is wary of strangers, but we don’t believe she would benefit from living with another dog, although would be fine with walking buddies. Milly can be left for up to four hours once she is settled, and she greets her foster carers nicely when they get home. Milly will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet his within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Milly's perfect match?

Meet Milly, the sweet 9 year old Poodle X Golden Retriever who is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. Milly is a sensitive soul who needs time to come out of her shell to show her true self, but once she knows you she is sweet, loving and a loyal companion. Could you offer her the kind and patient home she deserves?
