About This Dog

Jack's ideal home

Jack is a one year old Spaniel cross breed who is looking for an active new family to call his own. Jack is a super soft, lovable boy, but can be bouncy and full on, so any children in the home would need to be 12+. Jack can have some canine friends out and about, and generally isn’t bothered by them when he sees them out (especially if you have a ball/toy!) but does not want to live with another dog, having had issues with the other male dog that he previously lived with. Jack is a busy boy, who needs not only needs his physical needs to be met but also ensuring he is mentally enriched in order to help he be a content, happy boy who cuddles up with you at the end of the day!

Could you be Jack's perfect match?

Jack is very typical of his spaniel and retrieving breeds and is in love with tennis balls and toys! He adores tennis balls so this is a good tool to use to help with his attention span and training, if you've got a ball or toy- you've got his attention, otherwise, he is busy entertaining himself! Jack knows how to drop, sit, down and give paw, but he is quite strong on the lead currently, we are working on this but this will need to be taken into consideration and continued in his home. Jack has never been left home alone in his previous home so this is something he will need to get used to slowly as he settles in his new home. We have left him alone in our real life setting here and found that he does jump at the door and bark initially, but soon stops, but then wanders around a little unable to settle but isn't destructive. Jack travels well in the car, we are told is completely house trained and sleeps well on the sofa or bedroom floor through the night. Jack is a young boy who really needs his next home to be his forever one, with a family who are going to give him the time and patience to settle into a scary new environment and understand his needs of keeping busy and content. If you are looking for a travelling companion, a hiking friend or someone to start a new hobby with, then Jack may be the boy for you! If all of Jack's needs are met, then he is a super soft, cuddly boy who will be your very best friend!
