About This Dog

Bonnie's ideal home

Bonnie is a beautiful young Golden Retriever with lots of love to give, but who is looking for a very special home that can provide the understanding, patience, and guidance she needs. Like many young retrievers, she can be mischievous and has developed a habit of stealing household items, so her new family will need to be experienced, management-savvy, and committed to continuing her training in a positive and consistent way.

Because of her behaviours, Bonnie is looking for an adult-only home where she can have a calm and predictable environment. She would be happy to have sensible older child visitors. Bonnie must be the only dog in the home, as she prefers having all the attention to herself and will thrive best without the pressures of sharing her space. Once she has settled into her new routine and built trust with her family, she can be left for a couple of hours.

Bonnie has so much potential in the right hands and will make a rewarding companion for someone willing to invest the time and understanding she deserves. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, loving, and fun companion who is ready to continue learning and enjoying life by your side.

Could you be Bonnie's perfect match?

Bonnie is a sweet and affectionate young Golden Retriever with a gentle nature in the home. Once settled in her environment she enjoys being around her favourite people and absolutely adores rolling in wet grass. Bonnie is housetrained, walks beautifully on the lead, and enjoys long sniffy walks where she remains calm and friendly around both people and other dogs. She will need patience and reassurance in new situations, particularly around doorways and cars, which she currently finds frightening. Bonnie is a clever girl who enjoys treat searches in the garden and gentle games of fetch, though she has shown some resource guarding around stolen items and toys, so she will need an experienced, understanding home that can continue positive training and management. Once settled, Bonnie is relaxed when left alone for periods and forms lovely bonds with people, showing a soft, affectionate personality with those she trusts.
