About This Dog

Winston's ideal home

Winston is a charming 8-year-old Golden Doodle in search of a loving home. Having had a sheltered upbringing, Winston has lived with multiple other dogs but hasn't been socialised with dogs outside the home. He may exhibit barking and lunging when encountering unfamiliar dogs, so careful and gradual socialisation is necessary, ideally keeping him on a lead in public spaces. Winston is a friendly and affectionate lad, making him great with children aged 8 and older, given his background and at times bouncy nature. Although he didn't have regular walks in his previous home, he's eager to explore the outdoors, though he finds passing cars a bit overwhelming and may attempt to chase them. Our behaviour team will provide guidance to manage this.

Could you be Winston's perfect match?

Rescued from a welfare hoarding situation, Winston needs a patient family willing to introduce him to the world at his own pace. He requires ongoing support for housetraining and would thrive in a home where someone is around initially, as he adjusts to being alone. A garden would be beneficial for him as he gets used to walks and settles into his new environment. With time, patience, and love, Winston has the potential to become a wonderful, loyal companion.
