About This Dog for Adoption
It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we are looking to find a new home for our handsome Golden Retriever, Charlie. He is 3.5 years old and is a bundle of loving energy.Charlie is desperate to be your best friend. He loves to play, is constantly by your side, and his favourite thing in the world is getting attention and affection from his people. He has a wonderful, playful spirit that is typical of a Golden Retriever.
Our family circumstances have changed significantly since we first brought Charlie into our lives. With the birth of our young son and a new baby arriving in December, we are tragically unable to give Charlie the dedicated time and attention that he truly needs and deserves. He is a dog that thrives on interaction, and it is unfair to him that our focus is now so divided.
Because he hasn't been getting the attention he craves, he has developed a couple of behaviours that we want to be completely open about. He has guarded his food on a few occasions, and he can be prone to barking in the garden when he wants to play. We are confident that with the right owner who has the time to invest in him, these behaviours can be managed with consistent training and, most importantly, the attention he is lacking now.
He needs a home where his owners can be his whole world. An experienced individual, couple, or family with older children who have the time and energy to take him on adventures, play with him, and give him all the cuddles he could ever want.
Charlie is in perfect health. He is fully up-to-date with all his vaccinations, flea, and worming treatments and has no underlying health conditions.
