About This Dog for Adoption

Lance's ideal home

Lance is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him for sniffy adventures in quiet walking areas, or for a run around in a private field, adopters who can advocate for his space when out and about. He could live with college/sixth form aged children who can play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when he needs. Lance finds being in close proximity to dogs very worrying, so would like to be the only pet in the home so he can have all of the attention to himself, in a home with no neighbouring dogs. Lance has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, “paw” and is “muzzle trained” as he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer. He is a clever but busy boy and gets distracted easily so could engage in training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat for encouragement. He is looking for a home with a private, secure garden for him to potter about in. Lance can settle in the home nicely, so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Lance is on daily medication and will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home, with possible home visits to make sure he is settling in well, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Lance's perfect match?

Cute and Handsome boy Lance is a 9 year old crossbreed who loves his indoor time, chilling and snoozing on the sofa in the warm. Once he has a relationship with you he likes a gentle fuss, he will lean in and nudge your hand for more attention. He loves a sniffy walk in the woods, exploring and pottering along, sniffing everything he can. This pawsome pal is on the prowl for his new home.
