Lorcan's ideal home

Lorcan is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help build his confidence, continue his training and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can live with children aged 16 years and over are comfortable with a large dog, who will read his body language and give him space to rest when needed. Lorcan could live with an established dog who will match his playstyle, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity, he would love to have friendly walking buddies, he cannot live with cats or other small furries. Lorcan has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, "stay", "settle" and is currently being muzzle trained as he will need to wear a muzzle for vet visits, he is a very clever boy and is keen to learn more for a tasty treat. He will need housetraining in his new home so a private, secure garden is needed. Lorcan can settle nicely in the home so would be able to be left for up to 2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Lorcan will need to meet his adopters multiple time prior to going home with potential home visits to make sure he is settling in well, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet his within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Sweet and Snuggly Lorcan is a 2 and a half year old Collie/Retriever cross who loves to be your shadow. He likes a good sniff around on walks followed by a snuggly snooze on the sofa! He is the ultimate companion, and loves to be fussed, he will roll all over you for more and will wander off when he has had enough. This playful lad is full of life, he will happily play fetch with his people or throw toys around on his own and chase after them. He is a foodie boy and is not fussy on the type of treat, he'll take anything offered. This handsome lad is on the hunt for his new home.
